Cognitive Biases Workshop

When we're trying to do the most good, we need to be able to accurately interpret and respond to the information out there, but us humans have hundreds of cognitive biases which can get in the way of that goal. One example is scope insensitivity, our tendency to respond the same way to an issue regardless of the magnitude of the problem or the impact we could have. How do we take a practical approach to debiasing? We will have Chris Walton, who has two masters in psychology and wrote his thesis on bias and decision making, present for us!
