Description

The past year marked an all-time high for book banning with concerns about individual titles increasing from 2022 by 20%. Join our panelists as they explore book banning's connections to freedom of speech and intellectual freedom and highlight the impact of this movement on communities most impacted by the censorship of books written with race, gender, and/or sexuality themes or by LGBTQIA+ authors or authors of color.

Future information about the panelists is forthcoming.

This event is cohosted by the School of Literature, Media and Communication, School of Modern Languages, LGBTQIA Resource Center.
