Chess Club
About
The chess club will meet in person for the Fall 2024 semester on Thursdays from 6:30pm - 8pm in Klaus Room 1456! (Check out our calendar here for more information -> https://sites.google.com/view/gtchess/calendar).
We have members of all levels from novice to 2500+ USCF, and anyone is welcome to participate. There are no dues for registered members. We host all sorts of events consisting of but not limited to casual free plays where players of all levels can find a game against people of similar strengths and meet other members with similar interests outside of chess, competitive tournaments where players can compete for prizes for their respective levels (meaning that almost anyone can win a prize), and lectures where members committed to getting better can learn chess content from a master level player.
