First-Year Leadership Initiative
About
First-Year Leadership Initiative (FLI) is the Georgia Tech Student Foundation (GTSF)'s first-year leadership organization (FLO). Selected from a competitive pool of applicants, FLI members learn and apply the Student Foundation's tenet of philanthropy, moving forward by giving back. From exclusive professional development events to project management to community building events within both FLI and the rest of GTSF, FLI puts its participants on the path to become significant contributors to the Georgia Tech community while also bringing strong student leaders together.
Members contribute largely to campus-wide events such as Thanks-for-Giving by creating and planning educational activities for attendees, and are placed into a small group that both participates in fun events happening around Atlanta and works on lower-scale events to continue the conversation and appreciation of philanthropy around Georgia Tech. They also participate in programming designed to prepare students for their professional life and are assigned a mentor within GTSF to guide and advise FLIers through their transition into life at Georgia Tech.
FLI meetings are on Monday nights at 7pm at the Alumni House
