Friends of Hospice Care @ GT

The purpose of this organization is to provide companionship to individuals in the elderly community who are in hospice care facilities. We plan to reach out to several different hospice care organizations in hopes of collaborating with them and providing volunteering opportunities for the students who join this club. Opportunities will include bereavement care for families who've lost a loved one, 1 on 1 companionship with a patient in a hospice care facility, as well as volunteering in events for hospice care facilities to foster engagement within the community (such as reading hours for individuals with dementia!), to let them know they're not alone.
